From 13 - 18 September 2010 Hotzone Solutions successfully delivered a live agent training course for Dutch Fire Fighters (HAZMAT Officers).

During the 6-day course, the participants underwent training with unsealed radioactive sources and chemical warfare agents. The focus of the training course was on safety, protection, detection, decontamination and scenario based exercises where the Dutch Fire Fighters applied their own procedures and used - whenever possible - their own equipment.

The training took place in Austria and in the Czech Republic at specialized training facilities. In the course of the week the participants conducted 6 hot zone entries, 3 with radioactive unsealed emitters and 3 with blister and nerve agents.

By successfully completing this course, the Dutch Fire Fighters are one of the very few and amongst the first fire fighters in Europe to receive training with live agents.
