History of SRTC
In 1986, the Swedish Rescue Service Agency - SRSA was established, with four training centres nationwide, namely Revinge, Skövde, Rosersberg and Sandö. The development of the Hasslum training centre in Skövde and the training grounds for, among others, rescue personnel, fire fighters, fire chiefs, and international organizations, continued until 2008.
Training facility and capability
Their instructors are highly skilled and have significant experience, both as educators and operational personnel. Thanks to its wide network of specialists and the newly-signed partnership with Hotzone Solutions, SRTC can provide the very type of expertise our clients asks for. The Centre’s training method consists of several steps, combining theory with practical training. Training mainly focuses on hands-on activities in realistic, high risk training environment, including CBRN simulated environments with simulants. This kind of method provides the best possible results and allows easy learning, regardless of the exercise level and even when new subject matters are dealt with.
SRTC´s unique training grounds – which span over 300 acres – have a layout and a diversity of training objects offering advantages that few training centres, if any, can surpass. Participants can train for different missions over several days, without having to come across the same training ground twice. The facility can train far more than 100 participants at the same time, and has the required personal training material available for all of them. They can make available the latest techniques and materials to all trainees.
In 2011, SRTC is yet again certified by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency as an external provider of rescue and safety training.
If you whish to ask for an all-inclusive package including transfer, travel, accommodation, and also leisure activities, we can offer different solutions and standards, from barrack lodging to hostel and hotel accommodation. The SRTC´s facilities also include a restaurant, where lunch and refreshments are provided to training participants. Travel to Skövde can be arranged at competitive rates, either by the train main line or by direct flight to Skövde’s Airport.
