Live Chemical Agent Training Site (LCATS)

The live chemical agent training site contains a series of buildings and covered areas designed to support the conduct of tests and training with live chemical agents.

The working areas consist of specially hardened surfaces resistant to chemical agents with independent drainage to control contamination and protect the environment.

These areas allow chemical agents to be applied to different surfaces and equipment for the conduct of tests and/or training exercises such as detection and decontamination drills.

The LCATS also includes an indoor training area for the conduct of training during inclement weather or for specialised testing and training in a stable environment.

For analytical training, the FLCATF is equipped with a new, modern laboratory that provides controlled access to laboratory facilities.

The entire training site is supported with a separate building that provides lecture and conference areas along with kitchen support to provide meals during training activities.
